Mateus Wachter - Founder/CEO

Growing up in the Bow Valley, Mateus developed a deep love and fascination for what grew wild around him. Visions of running in meadows, looking under rocks, and in creek water to see what lived inside filled his mind in childhood. This love and curiosity led Mateus to start Terrakata in 2011.

Since then he has been learning about the native medicinal and edible landscape, studying Permaculture and learning regenerative ways pf working with the land.

Aside from managing organic lawn-care, and snow removal, he also leads edible and medicinal walks throughout Canmore.
